Gregynog IT Technical and Learning Conference 2025

I'm pleased to share that I’ll be speaking at this year’s Gregynog IT Conference — a fantastic opportunity to connect with digital leaders and educators from across Wales.

At the conference, I’ll be presenting some of the exciting innovation happening at Gower College, including:

VR for Dementia Care

I’ll be sharing the latest developments from our immersive project exploring virtual reality as a form of nostalgia therapy for individuals living with dementia. It’s been a powerful journey of research, collaboration, and storytelling — and I’m looking forward to discussing how VR can help improve quality of life and offer meaningful moments of connection.

Augmented Reality in Education

We’ve also been making big strides in embedding Augmented Reality into our curriculum. From interactive AR posters to immersive student exhibitions, we’re using AR to spark curiosity, enhance learning, and showcase student creativity in new and accessible ways.

NFC Feedback Tags

To make things interactive, I’ll also be demoing a custom-built NFC tag created especially for Gregynog. Tap your phone to it, and you’ll be instantly taken to a feedback form — helping us gather ideas and reflections from attendees in a seamless, contactless way.
