Building a childrens infomercial with AI

Student from three different courses collaborate to use AI tools to make a childrens infomercial

ThroughThe Curiosity Project, we ran a one-day creative hackathon. Seven students from completely different disciplines collaborated to create an AI-generated children’s infomercial.

The teamwork was seamless: Business students handled marketing and audience scoping; Childcare students defined what safe, engaging content looks like for young minds; and Performing Arts students acted out live-action reference clips in the green screen studio. Working collaboratively, the team moved quickly from analog storyboards, to live production, before diving into generative AI platforms like using Weavy.ai.

Ultimately, a one-day window wasn't quite enough to master prompt refinement and generate a fully cohesive final film, and that's completely fine. Innovation requires testing boundaries. While the final output didn’t hit the polished mark we initially targeted, the project was a masterclass in cross-sector collaboration and agile learning. We're already planning round two, with a dedicated focus on technical prompting and style-matching models!
